Another Winning Wednesday in December Giveaway

First off, I want to congratulate Debbie Mosley for winning last week’s giveaway. Congratulations Debbie!  All giveaways have been mailed off to the winners as of yesterday, so keep an eye out if you won over the past couple of weeks.  They should arrive before Christmas hopefully.

For this week’s giveaway, you have the chance to win “The Lopsided Christmas Cake” by Wanda Brunstetter, “Clara’s Wish” by Beth Shriver, and a Nestlé’s cookies cookbook and bag of baking chips.

To get your name entered for a chance to win this prize pack, all you have to do is leave a comment telling me if you are ready for Christmas or not.  Are you one of those running around like a crazy person trying to get it all finished?  Or are you one of those who finish everything up so early that you can relax before the holidays hit?  Or do you just not care and just go with the flow and what gets done, gets done and what doesn’t, just doesn’t?

This year, I’m happy to report that I did not let stress win and take over my attitude.  We put up the tree, and I have one nativity out, and that was all the decorating we were doing.  I mailed out all my packages this week and dropped off my last Christmas cards in the box this morning.  Cookies are all baked.  I just have wrapping to do and then Christmas dinner to prepare.  I took the easy road this year, and it feels good.  Even with all the Christmas party planning at work, I didn’t let stress win.  It’s been a wonderful feeling, and one that I hope I can keep doing for years to come.

You have until Saturday, 12/24, to leave your comment.  I’ll post the winner on next Wednesday’s blog post which will be the last Winning Wednesday giveaway.  It’s hard to believe that next week is the last week in 2016.  Wow!

Have a wonderful first week of winter and Christmas.

Blessings…

  1. Well lets see. I am pretty much done except the grocery store run (that is tonight) and grandkids because we will have Christmas with them on the 31st. so for this weekend I am on the home stretch, I even had time to make a ribbon wreath last night and read a chapter in my book. Pick me I have not had the pleasure of reading either of these books and they are very intriguing! So life is good and Merry Christmas.

  6. I am all ready. Had all gifts bought (online, as I don’t have the energy to shop in the stores) before Thanksgiving. Christmas cards all mailed, cookies done & cranberry jello mold done. Christmas tree up & decorated, thanks to my grandson & eldest son. Gifts all wrapped. That leaves the turkey and all the trimmings on Christmas to fix, eldest son/family to bring side dishes.

    Merry Christmas!
    Blessings, Tina

  7. Like you Cindy, I scaled way back this year. Is it an age thing or just a stress reduction? Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
