Again this year, six of the Amish owned rubber stamping stores are going to be hosting “A Whoopie of a Spring Fling” during the month of April. Each store will offer special discounts during April as well as a chance to win a door prize. With spring just around the corner, what fun it would be to visit these six locations on a day trip to Lancaster County.
Here is the flier in case you’d like to check out who is participating and the specials they will have. You will need this flier as you shop in order to get the discounts as well.
Grab a group of your stamping peeps and enjoy a day driving all over Lancaster County (Shady Lane is actually located in Chester County, but not far over the Lancaster County line). And if heading down Route 322 to go to Shady Lane, stop off at September Farm Cheese to grab a bite to eat or enjoy some samplings of cheese and other items. Their address is 5287 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook.
Over in Lancaster County, three Amish restaurants that I have eaten at are:
Katie’s Kitchen, 200 Hartman Bridge Road, Ronks, PA
Fisher’s Amish Restaurant, 3364 Harvest Drive, Gordonville, PA
Hometown Kitchen, 18 Furnace Road, Quarryville, PA (across the street from the Bart Fire Hall in Georgetown even though actual address says Quarryville)
All three places have delicious food – good ol’ PA Dutch cooking and offer daily and/or weekly specials.
So there you have it – a day of eating and rubber stamp shopping up in Amish Country. What more can you ask for?
Hope you can find a day to venture out and about in April. The store owners thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you in April, if not before.
